Went looking for the Mahi ((Dolphin) fish and found them off shore. Caught five of these, one king and one amberjack. It was a fun day.

Went all the way to the gulf stream and had a good day. Two very large kings, two wahoo and six dolphin fish. Check this 32 lb king.

Made it out to the tower and managed to catch 11 fish. King mackrel and a couple of the biggest sea bass I ever saw. Nice day and good start for the season.

I have not been fishing here since mid December. Catching has been slow for everybody around Southport, with some seatrout and red drum caught. I was in Florida for a few days and did catch 9 seatrout and 2 red drum. My serious fishing her will start up in March.

Went out to the gulf stream on a friends boat yesterday and caught 3 very nice wahoo. The largest was over 50lb, so now our freezer is restocked with super tasting wahoo.
WAHOO ARE BACK

The wahoo are back at the edge of the gulf stream. They like 72 to 78 degree water best and several boats have had good luck recently. Also, the speckled trout are coming back inside and they are catching them in our marina, as well.

Went to Cabo San Lucas with two friends for 4 days of off shore fishing. We had a great time. Caught 7 of these striped marlin, 1 large sailfish and all the mahi mahi that we wanted.

Had a nice day yesterday catching my favorite’s. Went to the Red & White reef and caught 8 nice kings and 1 mahi mahi. Best day this year for the king mackerel.
